LOCATION AND ACREAGE
The 159± acre Observatory Rock Ranch is located approximately 11 miles south of the town of Jefferson, Colorado on paved Park County Road 77. Downtown Denver is a one and a half hour drive and Denver International Airport is two hours away. Elevation on the ranch is 9,025 feet.

PROPERTY
Observatory Rock Ranch is currently a fishing retreat and hobby ranch with a small herd of Bison. Lush sub-irrigated pasture along the creek nurtures bison, horses and visiting elk. The ranch is in the most scenic section of the Tarryall Valley with breathtaking views of the continental divide. Pike National Forest and Lost Creek Wilderness border the ranch on two sides. The famous Colorado Trail is a short hike or horseback ride from the back porch through the wilderness. Tarryall Creek (or river as it is sometimes called) meanders through the ranch for approximately one and a half miles. RECREATION
One and a half miles of the creek provide excellent habitat for brown, brook and rainbow trout. The fly fishing is outstanding. Elk hunting on and around the ranch is very good. The ranch sits on the southeastern edge of the spectacular geologic feature know as South Park. South Park was an ancient Indian hunting ground and is a magnet for a wide variety of wildlife today. The headwaters of many of Colorado’s premier trout streams, including Tarryall Creek, originate in South Park. Additional good fishing can be found on Antero, Spinney Mountain and Eleven Mile Canyon Reservoirs, all within easy reach of the ranch. The old west town of Fairplay is a short drive west on Highway 285 and offers restaurants and shopping. The ski resort town of Brekenridge is located just over Hoosier Pass on Highway 9, approximately 22 miles north of Fairplay.
