I am a retired teacher, and got into prospecting as a hobby with my family.

Toulomne County, California - New Gold Rush Pans Out in Motherlode area.

A news story from June 17, 2010.

"The miner who found the gold did not want to be identified on camera, nor, understandably would he tell anyone where he found it except it was found in or around one of the local rivers. (There are three in the area; they are the Stanislaus and Clavey rivers, and the longest, the Toulomne river). The gold prospector displayed his 3 pounds of gold for the camera, worth about news story notes the gold came from southern Tuolumne County, because of some of the other minerals attached to the gold. The Clavey River is in the southern part of the county.

Nearly 3/4 of the gold recovered from this county was from placer deposits. Many consider the placer deposits here to be the best in the Sierra Nevada range. Total production for Tuolumne County has been in excess of 11,000,000 ounces to date. Our Clavey River claims are placer claims. Tuolumne County, is one of the Mother Lode counties, which are those counties having the most gold discoveries.

The Clavey River is a tributary of the Tuolumne River, having a history of gold discoveries.

The river has bedrock pockets making for what prospectors call "Gold Traps" for panning.

The nearby town of Groveland is known as the gateway to Yosemite National Park.

The Clavey River is one of the few undammed rivers in California, which allows for any gold to flow freely downstream.

The Clavey is special because it has some of the highest biotic integrity of any river in California, meaning, it has little to no pollution. This river is unique because it still harbors a pre-glacial remnant population of coastal rainbow trout.

Mining Claims as an investment: if you purchase a claim from us, at no charge, I would help you if you ever decided to sell in the future.

Mining Claims are a great investment, as claims go up in value over time, just as land does. This is one of the areas of the original California Gold Rush.

Owning a mining claim is having access to a lifetime of great family fun and recreation, in a very beautiful, natural setting.

This is a 40 acre unpatented, gold mining placer claim, the Clavey River Gold 2, with the beautiful Clavey River running through the claim, and is in Tuolumne County, California, in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the Stanislaus National Forest. The claim is legally registered with the Bureau of Land Management out of Sacramento and Tuolumne County. You own the mineral rights, not sharing with others, on the 40 acres, and use your 40 acres, recreationally for camping: tent, camper, or RV, and prospecting: an awesome, beautiful area.

With an approved BLM Plan of Operation, a building could be built on the land: any building that benefits and improves the claim, though you cannot permanently live on a mining claim. Current usage, is what the BLM calls, Casual Use: panning, shovel, rock hammer, metal detector.

When we located the claim on one weekend, we gathered in and around the river, approx. 1/4 of an ounce of gold, being worth about As the BLM does not specify the amount of gold to be found to locate a claim other than gold needs to be discovered, we use this amount for a 40 acre claim as a projection of good gold potential. Someone with more time may find more. Gold prices are over Though we could never guarantee what you will find, we did locate this claim in an historically rich area for gold prospecting.

You are allowed to post No Trespassing for Prospecting signs around the claim.

40 acres: 1,742,499 sq.ft., 1320 x 1320 ft.

Tuolumne County has produced over 3 million ounces of lode gold and over 8 million ounces of placer gold: the placers are thought to be the richest in the state's history. The word itself, Tuolumne, means “Golden Adventures,” named after the rich gold discoveries in the 1800's, and gold prospecting continues here today. Our claims are located on the way to Yosemite National Park known as the gateway to Yosemite.

The proximity to Yosemite makes this area a perfect vacation destination, with plenty of Gold Country to experience including hiking, biking, fishing, river rafting, camping, gold panning, skiing and sightseeing. The towns of Sonora, Columbia, Jamestown, Twain Harte and Groveland have much to offer including arts, festivals, theater, living history, shopping and entertainment. Whether you're a couple on a romantic wine-tasting weekend, or you've loaded up the family in the RV and hit the open road, Tuolumne County is your perfect place to shop, dine, explore, relax and get back to nature.

This claim has legal road access, on a Forest Service road, with areas for camping, and gold discovered in surface prospecting.

Comments From Satisfied Claim Buyers:

"We purchased a 40 acre claim in California from Mr. Leu. Our claim is everything he told us it would be: Beautiful area, great for family camping outings, and, we have found gold while panning in the creek on our claim. We could not be happier with our purchase."

"Living in Colorado, the purchase of our mining claim from you has been great for family fun and recreation. We have camped overnight a number of times, and panned for gold in the creek. We were even able to find gold flakes on several of our attempts. Thank you so much.."

"We purchased 2 mining claims from over the last 2 years, one in California, and one In Colorado. We have been to our claims on several occasions, and we could not be happier. They are exactly as described, and our camping on our claims and prospecting in the creek on each claim is the highlight of our vacations. You can trust Mr. Leu. If you are looking for a great time in the awesome beauty of the west, buying a mining claim from Mr. Leu will be a blessing."

And just a note of encouragement for you if purchase:

My wife and I have located, prospected on, and sold mining claims in

California, Colorado, & Arizona, going on now for over 8 years.

You can trust we will process your notarized deeds correctly and quickly.

In that mining claims are processed thru the Bureau of Land Management, a

Federal Govt. agency, not following thru per our legally signed contract, would be a federal crime. I certainly will do what I say, and would never put myself nor my wife in any legal jeopardy.

Also, we have sold properties on 5 sites online for over 10 years:

Landsalelistings, Landwatch, LandandFarm, LandsofAmerica, and LandFlip.

Our continued good status on these sites is due to our always following thru, as just one time we would not, we would not be allowed to sell on these sites ever again.
