Location/Background The historic Lee Brothers Ranch, and Lee Land and Livestock is located in both Chase and Perkins counties. From the feedlot it is approximately 13 miles South of Elsie, Nebraska and approximately 24 miles Northeast of Imperial, Nebraska. This ranch was homesteaded in the early 1900S. This is the first time this ranch has been for sale since it was homesteaded at the beginning of World War I. Rainfall The rainfall belt in the area and location of this ranch ranges from 17 -19 inches per year with the majority of it falling during the grass growing season. It is generally considered consistent and reliable to the extent that cattle sell downs are very rare. Markets The ranch is located within a reasonable driving distance of several livestock auction barns in the state. Thousands of reputation cattle pass through these barns annually in the form of special stock, cow, bred heifer, yearling, and calf sales throughout the year. Buyers from several states are always on hand to create a consistent, top - end market for all classes of cattle. There are also video auction markets that are nationwide in scope. Economics of Scale This ranch is considered large enough to support a typical sized family along with some day help, but would also make an excellent investment opportunity.
